This self portrait emerged through experimentation and reflection. Learning how to navigate and carry myself within contemporary society has allowed me to confront and better understand the trauma I experienced as a child. In this work, I wanted to embody the quiet, mundane emotions that are often overlooked or dismissed. By creating the piece at a large scale, I intend to make those emotions unavoidable.
